On 28th March 2020, a fortnight after the announcement of the first COVID-19 case in Kenya, President Uhuru Kenyatta announced a raft of measures to enforce the public health directives to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Key among the Presidential directives were the imposition of a nationwide dawn to dusk curfew and the restriction of movement into and out of Nairobi, Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi and Mandera counties.
